What We Can't Put Down...

Instead of showcasing our latest favorite novel, we are focusing on a coffee table book this week – one that has a special significance to us at Worth. We recently came across Polaroid, by Diego Uchitel and had to buy it on the spot, as Uchitel has photographed past campaigns for Worth. Uchitel grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina and became fascinated by the beauty of the human form after seeing patients under his physician father’s care. He moved from Argentina to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and quickly switched to still imagery. His pictures are most noted for their ethereal, romantic and painterly qualities. Polaroid focuses on Uchitel’s work from 1982 to 2006 – when he switched from a polaroid camera to a digital camera. The book features a selection of his favorite image from commercial to personal use – showing celebrities such as Jessica Alba, Sofia Coppola and Julianne Moore.
